The Goal
Welcome to the Adventure of Reality Elevated: A sensory journey that you experience together.
Create an augmented environment for SandboxVR that embodies and communicates the unique characteristics of this social VR experience, highlighting the space between the actual and digital world. The flagship design also had to consider the portfolio of existing retail locations by providing a kit-of-parts and establishing repeatable iconic design language unique to the Sandbox VR brand.

Guests can gear down and recap their experience - large screen shows their video highlights and post-game statistics.
The bench is a recognizable design element for the Sandbox store environment.
The interior of the holodeck includes a rigging system that provides attachment points for necessary VR sensors, cameras, and fans. Every holodeck consists of a cabinet filled with a dedicated computer for this room, ever-changing weapons, and vests. The cabinet is a place for docking and charging the batteries when the room is not in use.
Modular holodeck numbers
The Modular Customer Seating includes removable trays of wrist and ankle sensors that each customer is required to wear during the VR experience. Operationally the trays must be cleaned after every use, and this design allows the used sensors and trays to be lifted out of the bench and replaced with a “clean” set from the white drawer underneath, allowing employees to queue two sets of equipment at once. Underneath the padded seating area is a personal item storage cubby.
